Can you argue when you have this as proof?

Recently a few friends and I were discussing whether or not Michigan is the best team (Football) in the Nation. Their statements were the last few years have not been the best, haven't beaten OSU in more than 4 years and so forth. Let me just lay some things out here right now

Wins and championships

* Most wins (869) and highest winning percentage (.745) in NCAA Division I-A football history
* The most conference championships of any college football program in any conference (42)
* The most winning seasons (110)
* The most undefeated seasons in Division 1-A football (25)
* One of only three schools with a winning record against every Division 1-A conference, including independent schools such as Notre Dame.

Scoring and schedule

* The largest scoring delta (points for minus points against) in college football history
* One of the highest all-time strength of schedule rating in college football

Attendance and television

* The highest NCAA home attendance every year since 1974, except for 1997
* The largest (non-racing) stadium in the United States (Michigan Stadium, seats 107,501)
* The largest crowd to ever attend an NCAA football game: 112,118 on November 22, 2003, at Michigan Stadium vs. Ohio State
* The longest current streak of over 100,000 in attendance at home (208 games)
* The most televised school in college football history (382 televised games)

Current streaks

* The longest current streak of non-losing seasons (40 seasons; 1968-present)
* The longest current streak of bowl game appearances (33 seasons; 1975-present)
* The longest current streak of games in Division 1-A since last being shut out (287 games; last time on October 20, 1984, at Iowa)

Honored pageantry

* The number one sports rivalry: Michigan-Ohio State, according to ESPN's "10 Greatest Sports Rivalries"[5]
* The best helmet in football, according to ESPN's "End of Century" Special
* The best uniform in sports, according to ESPN2's 64 Team Bracket Results[6]
* The only fight song in the Hall of Fame

What else is there?

Michigan Claims 11 National Titles to go with NCAA, but in reality they have won 14.Michigan Football

Michigan has been invited to play in 39 bowl games in its history, compiling a record of 19-20 in those games.

Note: From 1918-1945, the Big Ten did not allow its teams to participate in bowls. From 1946-1974, only the conference champion was allowed to attend a bowl (the Rose Bowl), and no team could go two years in a row.

So many years Michigan could not go to a Bowl game, where they would have been invited.

Before this years win over Florida, Michigan last Bowl win came against no one other than Florida. Some say this years bowl game was revenge for last year scam.

As a sum up, you can say Michigan is just the BEST! VICTORS VALIANT! HAIL!

Chapel: Who is the Greatest King of All Time?

What is that?  Who wears it?

The following is a rhetorical question, which means you don’t really answer it out loud, just in your head.

Who was the Greatest King of all Time?

Let’s talk about some Biblical kings.  First there is this guy named Saul, not the guy who becomes Paul, but Saul, the first Israelite King.  The Israelites wanted to be like all the other nations, they wanted a King.  The people chose Saul.  He got very jealous of David who was Gods choice for King.  David became King after Saul and Jonathon, who is Saul’s son and David’s best friend, died in battle.  David did some great things; he reclaimed the Ark of the Covenant and Jerusalem.  His most important task he wanted to complete as king was to build a Temple.  David never built the Temple and even committed murder.  Later came Solomon, who can be said was the wisest man in history and he built the Temple David wanted to.  What about Non-Biblical Kings from our History Books.  You have Louis the 14th who ruled France for 72 years.  That is like a long time, isn’t it? How about Alfred the Great who was noted for his defense of the kingdom against the Danish Vikings and becoming the only English king to be awarded with the title “the Great.”  For someone who likes military would know about Alexander the Great, the most successful military commander in history, and was undefeated in battle.  He had conquered most of the world known to the ancient Greeks.  Or there is Affonso, King of the Kongo; he was the first ruler to resist the European slave trade.  Lastly but not the least king Cyrus the Great, founder of the Persian Empire, conquering most of Southwest and Central Asia, which created the largest state the world had yet seen.

Who would you vote for as the Best King?  Saul, David, Solomon, Louis, Alfred, Alexander, Affonso, or Cyrus?

The word "king" is used symbolically in the Bible to signify someone who possesses supreme power. In fact, God is referred to as a King in our text for today, 1 Timothy 1:17: "Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen." Also in 1 Timothy 6:13-16: "In the sight of God, who gives life to everything, and of Christ Jesus, who while testifying before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, I charge you to keep this command without spot or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which God will bring about in his own time - God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Amen."

Revelation 19:16 is the main passage where "King of kings" is mentioned in relation to Jesus Christ. "On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS." This verse is speaking of the future time when Jesus Christ will return to earth to set up His kingdom. All will proclaim, "Jesus is King!"

King of kings and Lord of lords is a victorious title. It signifies sovereignty over all kings and all lords. Everyone will be in submission to Him, King Jesus! No matter what person in history is the most victorious king or ruler on the earth, Jesus Christ is the King of kings!  He is the Best of the Best!

Let me read to you some lyrics that you will hear in a moment.  Think about the kings we talked about in history, some of Earth’s best kings that Earth could offer.  Think about if you were a King would you do what the lyrics tell us what Jesus did do.

Cause how many kings, stepped down from their thrones?

How many lords’ small l lords have abandoned their homes?

How many greats have become the least for me?

How many gods’ small g gods have poured out their hearts?

To romance a world that has torn all apart?

How many fathers gave up their sons for me?

I do not know about any other parent in here, but I could not give up Trevor for you.  I just couldn’t do that.  But God loves us so much that he did exactly that, gave his Son, Jesus for You each one of you and for me.  How Awesome is that.

If you ask my third graders they will tell you that I like to play different Christian songs for them.  I always tell them to listen to the lyrics, listen to the words.  So please listen to the words of this song, How many Kings from Downhere.

Please Pray with me.

Dear King of Kings, Lord of Lords,

Thank You for being the best King, the almighty King, the powerful King, the loving King.  Let us forever bow down to you, worship you, and praise you.  In your name, we pray, Amen.

Post 100

So This should be Post #100. At least according to my counter. Hopefully Post #200 will come faster than Post #100. So really this post isn't anything worthwhile, but again neither are most of my other posts.

All in a Single Day

What a day, what a day. It is only around 5:30pm Pacific Time Zone and Trevor and I had a super full day. Trevor slept in a little, waking up around 7am, which is nice, usually its somewhere between 5:30 and 6:00am. Trevor and I came downstairs so Becky could sleep a little longer. We finished watching the movie "We are Marshall", which is really good movie. After breakfast and getting dressed we went to Church. Trevor helped me pass out door hangers. We walked little over a mile while passing them out. We went to Wal-Mart after that. We came home picked up Becky and stopped by Wanda's (my principal) house. Today is her birthday and we had a gift for her. We visited for a while and Trevor played a little. We then went and got Trevor a hair cut. On the way home from the hair cut we stopped at Burger King to grab lunch. We came home and ate. Trevor went down for a nap and so did I. When Trevor woke up we went to the Movies, just Trevor and I. We went to see the new Veggie Tales movies. We have wanted to take Trevor to a movie lately but didn't know what to see. He will sit and watch "Mary Poppins" and "The Jungle Book". I figure he watches Veggie Tales on TV once in a while. He knows the characters and points to them every week at Church. Our Sunday School Program is doing a Veggie Tales Curriculum. Although he wasn't bad, it didn't go as smooth as I was hoping for. We did make it though. I am glad we made it. Hopefully next movie we go to see it will go a little smoother. As of right now Trevor is eating a Mickey Mouse Shaped Pizza that he picked out when we were at Wal-Mart. There is even still 4 or more hours left in this day. What else can I do to get into trouble?

How Can you Deny?

The Following is the Lyrics from Chris Tomlin song "Indescribable"

From the highest of heights to the depths of the sea
Creation's revealing Your majesty
From the colors of fall to the fragrance of spring
Every creature unique in the song that it sings
All exclaiming
Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name.
You are amazing God
All powerful, untamable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God
Who has told every lightning bolt where it should go
Or seen heavenly storehouses laden with snow
Who imagined the sun and gives source to its light
Yet conceals it to bring us the coolness of night
None can fathom
Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name
You are amazing God
All powerful, untamable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God
You are amazing God
Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name.
You are amazing God
All powerful, untamable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God
Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name.
You are amazing God
Incomparable, unchangeable
You see the depths of my heart and You love me the same
You are amazing God
You are amazing God

I just don't understand that people can not understand the power, the majest, and the beauty of the power of God. Take the photo for instance, that beauty happens every day in every state and every country. I have a thing for clouds, Becky thinks its stupid, but I just think about when I look at the clouds I see something amazing, so amazing that only someone as mighty as God could make something as amazing as a cloud especially during a sunrise/set.

The Flip Side of things.

Have you ever had to defend something that you didn't agree with? This is done in debate class all around the country. You look at the opposite side way of thinking. Last night I had to do this for our Sr. High Youth Group. Our leader asked if I would be pro abortion. I was to take a group of kids who may or may not believe in abortion and try to show them why it was a good thing in the case of rape, incest, and if the child would be disabled in some fashion. I had the kids start thinking of some good points that people use in the real world. I even had the Pro Life side stumbling and just resorting to Religious beliefs but not world belief. But, the more in character I got, the more I confirmed my own thoughts how bad abortion is. I challenge you to take a matter of something and look at the opposite side view and try to argue for that side. If your own convictions do not stand out stronger at the end, maybe you need to change your thinking a little.

So you know the book Where's Waldo, well here is Trevor's version of the book. I just think this is acute picture even if you don't see him at first.

American Gladiators

The old classic man vs man vs Gladiator.  This was a show I loved growing up, we even had the computer game for it.  Well it is back and changed up a little.  Hulk Hogan is hosting it.  Some of the old games that we loved, power ball, assault, and joust.  They have some new games like hit and run.  I can handle the new games and love the updated classics.  I can be content with the new gladiators.  What I do not like is the new Eliminator.  This is the last event.  I just don't like how they redid it.  There are no gladiators involved.  Overall I think this was a good redo of an old classic.  I give it 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Winter Storm

Since Friday afternoon it has been storming. So bad that our power went out for over an hour on Friday Night. Jim and Prisca were over while we were playing Scene it for 360, I will be reviewing it later. As I write this it is raining. They said snow can come as low as 3,000 ft. It should be fun if it does snow.

Those who stay will be Champions

The game is over, and Michigan is the Victors. Coach Carr, who is by far one of my heroes, went out with a win. Everyone counted Michigan out, they were too slow, they were playing against HEISMAN winner Tebow. I mean Tebow, is only a Sophomore and won the Heisman, a National Title as a Freshman, Ran and Threw for more than 20 TD each. Crable said he was just another QB, and they showed although he is a good player, he isn't anything too special. They made Tebow eat more dirt than a worm.

The scariest thing is Michigan had 4 turnovers and still had more than 500 yards. It is a great day to be a Michigan man. Last year Florida politically jumped over Michigan to make it to the National Championship game. This was a little revenge.

Carr is now no longer coach of Michigan and Coach Rod is. Let the Tradition Continue!
